Thank you for your interest in the Diversity Recruitment Education and Mentoring (D.R.E.A.M.) team!
The DREAM team is a dedicated volunteer group of undergraduate students who assist the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid with college access and diversity efforts. The DREAM team primarily assist with the Pittsburgh Admissions Collaboration, which hosts college preparation workshops. Learn more about the PAC program here. DREAM members serve as mentors to local PPS students through the PAC program and assist with facilitating PAC sessions. Ultimately, DREAM team members will help increase the enrollment of underrepresented students at the University of Pittsburgh – Pittsburgh Campus.
Thursday evenings twice per month for 9-12th grade Pittsburgh Public School students. All volunteers must be available 2:00-6:00 Thursday evenings* for PAC sessions. PAC programming is offered for high school students 2:30- 4:30 pm. There may be opportunities to assist with other college access efforts on other evenings or weekend.
PAC session times are based on PPS school dismissal times and are subject to change*
- Mentor local high school students
- Strengthen the relationship between Pitt and the Pittsburgh community
- Meet with University and community leaders
- Free Pitt Gear
- Earn community service hours for OCC credit
- Earn a $250-300 book award per semester
